Preventive Treatments

1. Filling the cavity

Our tooth has 2 protective layers namely enamel and dentin. They protect the inner living content called pulp. When the cavity of the tooth remains within these 2 layers, it can be filled with some bio compatible materials.

Timely filling the cavities prevents the progress of the decay and eventually saves us from the future sufferings from intense pain and having expensive treatments to retain the tooth. We call it restorations and use the tooth colour materials of high standards for such restorative jobs.

It usually takes single appointment and costs Rs 2000-3000 for each cavity depending upon the extent of the damage occurred.

2.  Routine cleaning of teeth

We all brush our teeth regularly, but being 100% in anything is almost impractical ...and the problem starts here !! Tiny food particles remain deposited between the teeth and tooth-gum junctions. With passing time it gets solidified and different types of bacteria starts accumulating over it. We call it plaque and calculus deposition.
This accumulation not only gives an unsightly look to our teeth it starts damaging our gum and underlying bone as well. It hampers proper brushing and may contribute to form the cavities.
It needs to get it cleaned (we call it Scaling) in a certain intervals to maintain a healthy oral health and our overall health is also related to this accumulation. The procedure is performed with the help of an ultrasonic vibration which is absolutely painless and requires no injection.
Scaling usually takes 2 appointments and its cost ranges from Rs 2500-4000 depending upon the amount and nature of deposition.
