Extraction of more than one tooth in a single appointment is a well practiced and justified procedure.
It is usually done when a few adjacent decayed teeth (non restorable) need extraction either for pain relief or fabrication of denture. Though for the sake of having food in the immediate post extraction days, it is better to avoid extracting teeth from both the sides (right and left) in a single visit.
It saves time, lessens sufferings, avoids number of anaesthetic episodes, minimizes the use of pre and post extraction medications. Moreover, all the extracted sites heal simultaneously. Multiple extraction in a single visit imparts almost same results as that of single tooth extraction, provided that the patient is otherwise fit for extraction.
